Rosary of the Spirits of St. Great Gertrude

St. Gertrude the Great was born in Germany, January 6, 1256 and at the age of 5 was sent to the Abbey of St. Mary was in Hefta to live and be educated there.  At the age of 25, he experienced a vision that changed his education, priorities and life. St. Gertrude then focused more on the study of Scripture and Theology and became a passionate student whose writings later became an inspiration and spiritual help for many people. As a Benedictine nun, St. Gertrude has a deep relationship with God through her prayers. He was a great mystic and theologian of the 13th century. As the bride of Christ, St. Gertrude was united with her bride at her death on November 16, 1301.

In one vision, the Lord spoke to St. Gertrude that He wants someone to ask Him to free the souls in Purgatory, like a king who because of the law of justice must imprison his friend, The king hopes that someone will beg for mercy for his friend.
Jesus said: “I accept with great joy all that is offered to Me for the souls in Purgatory, for I long to be close to those whom I have paid such a great price for.
Through the prayers of your loving soul, every time you say a prayer, I am compelled to free the prisoner from Purgatory.”

God promised St. Gertrude that every time her prayers are said earnestly, She will relieve the suffering of 1000 souls and free them from Purgatory and receive them in Heaven.  In this series of prayers are said 50 times the prayer of St. Gertrude. This means that 50,000 souls will be delivered from Purgatory every time we pray this series of prayers.
